How does FirstStep work?

What are AI and prompts?

AI is software you can ask for help with writing, explaining, planning, or making pictures. A “prompt” is just your question or instruction. Everyday language is enough.

Do I need to pay?

You can start with free options in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. They have usage limits. Some Canva AI design features need a paid plan. Check the app before upgrading.

What if I don’t like the answer?

Keep talking in the same chat. Ask the app to change its answer, just as you would ask a person.

What happens to what I type here?

FirstStep builds suggestions in your browser and does not send your task to an AI provider. “Save for later” stores a prompt only in this browser on this device. You can delete it from Saved. Once you paste into another app, that app’s privacy rules apply.
